Fulham 1, Liverpool 3
Craven Cottage, London  (Att: 25,640)
Liverpool Scorer:  Sturridge (36, 62, 85)

Pepe Reina – 7
Made a couple of top saves to keep the score at 2-1. Handled a powerful Riise free kick well.

Glen Johnson – 6
Made one outstanding run forward into the box.

Andre Wisdom – 6
Looked comfortable at centre back, and played a good long pass forward for Liverpool’s first goal. Problems arose when back three had to swap places.

Sebastian Coates – 6
Made some good interceptions and showed he can carry the ball out of defence.

Jamie Carragher – 6
Could have been beter placed for the Fulham goal, but the fact Berbatov had a free header was down to collective organisation rather than individual error.

Stewart Downing – 6

Lucas – 7

Jordan Henderson – 6

Jonjo Shelvey – 6

Philippe Coutinho – 8
His decision making in behind the striker is excellent. Laid on two goals for Sturridge and sent others in behind the Fulham defence on numerous occasions. His pass with the outside of his right boot for Sturridge’s 3rd goal was the game’s highlight.

Daniel Sturridge – 9
Could have had five or six goals, and should have passed on occasions rather than shooting, but he can be excused when he scores goals with this regularity. His three goals were really well taken, and he was involved in some good link up and hold up play.

SUBSTITUTES:

Jose Enrique – 6
Has a tendency to run into trouble, but still played a part in the win as the team switched from 5-3-1-1 to 4-4-2 at half time.

Fabio Borini – 6
Looked lively when he came on and seems to be tidier in possession than he was earlier in the season.

Conor Coady – N/A

Reading 0, Liverpool 0 Madejski Stadium, Reading (Att: 24,139) A dominating but ultimately fruitless performance from Liverpool saw them slump to a disappointing draw away to bottom of the table Reading. The match will be remembered for a combination Liverpool’s poor finishing, and Reading goalkeeper Alex McCarthy’s heroics. Pepe Reina – 7 His opposite number in the Reading goal will take all the plaudits from this game, but Reina made a couple of crucial saves of his own. Glen Johnson – 6 Jamie Carragher – 6 Daniel Agger – 7 Has improved during the last couple of games after an average continue reading

Aston Villa 1, Liverpool 2 Villa Park, Birmingham  (Att: 42,037) Liverpool Scorers:  Henderson (47), Gerrard (60 pen) Pepe Reina – 6 Was positioned well for a close range Agbonlahor chance which went straight at him, but didn’t react to Benteke’s early shot for the Villa goal. Glen Johnson – 6 Had a couple of useful forays forward but doesn’t have the end product to match his early season form. Jamie Carragher – 6 Couldn’t cope with Benteke at times, but put in a good performance using his defensive nous to make up for lack of speed against Agbonlahor, and the strength continue reading

Liverpool 1, Southampton 3 St Marys Stadium, Southampton (Att: 32,070) Liverpool Scorers:  Coutinho (45) Brad Jones – 6 Glen Johnson – 5 Had a hard time in defence during this game, and didn’t offer much in attack. Looked like he and Skrtel were playing together for the first time. Martin Skrtel – 5 Seems to have lost all confidence since being dropped. Struggled positionally and couldn’t anticipate the movement of Southampton’s attacks. Lost the fight with Lambert, and gave away a careless free kick which lead to the second goal. Daniel Agger – 6 When Carragher is out, the Denmark continue reading

Liverpool 3, Tottenham Hotspur 2 Anfield, Liverpool (Att: 44,752) Liverpool Scorers:  Suarez (21), Downing (66), Gerrard (Pen 82) Brad Jones – 6 Stepped in for Pepe Reina who was out with a calf injury and was solid enough. Got his body behind a few swerving long range efforts, particularly one free kick from Bale, which other ‘keepers have struggled with this season. Glen Johnson – 5 Was poor with his marking at set pieces and sloppy in attack. Got in one good block on a Sigurdsson shot which would have gone in, but didn’t have his best game overall. Jamie continue reading

Wigan 0, Liverpool 4 DW Stadium, Wigan (Att: 20,804) Liverpool Scorers: Downing (2), Suarez (18, 34, 49) Pepe Reina – 8 Back to his world class best this afternoon with several top saves. Saved the blushes of Liverpool’s sloppy team defending on a number of occasions. His passing from the back was faultless too, particularly the long ball to Coutinho which lead to the first goal. Glen Johnson – 6 Made a few good runs forward and offered an option out of defence on the right. Jamie Carragher – 6 Generally solid but for the odd missed header and interception continue reading

Liverpool 3, Zenit St Petersburg 1 Anfield, Liverpool (Att: 43,026) Liverpool scorers: Suarez (28, 59), Allen (43) Pepe Reina – 6 Played some great balls out to midfield, and swept up well. Not much to do saves wise. Glen Johnson – 6 Sloppy at times but provided a good outlet going forward. Jamie Carragher – 5 Made the mistake which lead to the Zenit goal. Was otherwise solid throughout. Daniel Agger – 6 Made a good run forward to win the free kick from which we scored the first goal. Still wasteful with his long range shooting. Jose Enrique – 7 Not continue reading

Liverpool 5, Swansea City 0 Anfield, Liverpool (Att: 44,832) Liverpool scorers: Gerrard (34pen), Coutinho (46), Enrique (50), Suarez (56), Sturridge (71pen) Pepe Reina – 6 Was fairly untroubled throughout the game, but looked confident and decisive when called upon. Glen Johnson – 7 Showed glimpses of his early season form, and can hopefully put some recent poor displays behind him. Jamie Carragher – 6 Wasn’t tested much by a Michu-less Swansea attack. Played the ball around his back four, and when he plays the back four is most certainly his, such are his organisational skills. Daniel Agger – 6 Did what continue reading

Zenit Saint Petersburg 2, Liverpool 0 Petrovsky Stadium, St Petersburg (Att: 21,000) Pepe Reina – 7 The scoreline could have been a lot more embarrassing for Liverpool if it wasn’t for some great early saves from the inconsistent ‘keeper. Was safe and assured on what was a tricky playing surface for a goalkeeper. Glen Johnson – 6 Got forward well on occasions but had a few lapses in concentration. Martin Skrtel – 6 Could probably have done better for Zenit’s second goal where he missed his clearance. Lacked a bit of support from a holding midfielder on his return to his continue reading
